There are a number of pieces of policy and legislation that apply to the building control regime. This section focuses on the most relevant ones although, as there may well be others relevant to your situation, you are advised to take further advice to ensure you are fully informed.

Notified Bodies

Issued by DCLG in July 2011. These guidelines describe the requirements applying in the United Kingdom for the assessment, designation and notification of Notified Bodies under the EU Construction Products Regulation (305/2011).

Technical Assessment Bodies (TABs)

Issued by DCLG in February 2013. These guidelines describe the requirements applying in the United Kingdom for the assessment and designation of Notified Bodies under the EU Construction Products Regulation (305/2011).
