Central Office of Information (COI) - COI Communications is the government's communication team. It works in partnership with client departments and agencies to provide effective communications solutions.

Civil Service Recruitment Gateway - Government needs an enormous range of people. There are opportunities for everyone. We run many different types of recruitment schemes. Some of them are organised centrally, by central management units. The majority are run by individual departments and agencies.

Coal Authority - The Coal Authority was established by Parliament in 1994 to undertake specific statutory responsibilities associated with licensing coal mining operations in Britain and handling subsidence damage claims which are not the responsibility of licensed coal mine operators.

Commission for Integrated Transport - The Commission for Integrated Transport (CfIT) advises the Government on the implementation of integrated transport policy, monitoring developments across environment, health and transport and other sectors.

Communities and Local Government - the successor department to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM). It is an expanded department with a powerful new remit to promote community cohesion and equality, as well as responsibility for housing, urban regeneration, planning and local government.

Council on Tribunals - The Council on Tribunals website contains information about the membership and work of the Council and its Scottish Committee, the text of recent annual and special reports, and links to the large and diverse world of tribunals in England, Wales, Scotland and abroad.

Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) - The government's Department for Culture, Media and Sport has policy responsibility for museums, galleries and libraries, the built heritage, the arts, sport, education, broadcasting and the media and tourism, as well as the creative industries and the National Lottery.

Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs - The government's Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) aims to promote sustainable development, which means a better quality of life for everyone, now and for generations to come, including a better environment at home and internationally, and sustainable use of natural resources.

Department of Trade & Industry - The government's Department for Trade and Industry web sites offer a range of information for consumers, businesses, employees, anyone with an interest in the world of work. Whether the need is for information on the aerospace or biotech industries or for guidance on the latest regulations, the Department may be able to help.

Department Of Transport - The government's Department of Transport aims to achieve better transport.

Forestry Commission - The Forestry Commission of Great Britain is the government department responsible for the protection and expansion of Britain's forests and woodlands.

Health and Safety Executive - The Health and Safety Executive seeks to ensure that risks to people's health and safety from work activities are properly controlled

Her Majesty's Land Registry - The Land Registry guarantees the title to, and records the ownership of, interests in registered land in England and Wales.

Her Majesty's Stationery Office - Her Majesty's Stationery Office (HMSO) publishes official documents and operates as part of the Cabinet Office under the ministerial control of the Minister for the Cabinet Office.

Home Office - The Home Office is the Government department responsible for internal affairs in England and Wales.

Information Commissioner - The Information Commissioner is responsible for the Data Protection & Freedom of Information Acts.

Inland Revenue - The Inland Revenue is responsible, under the overall direction of Treasury Ministers, for the efficient administration of income tax, tax credits, corporation tax, capital gains tax, petroleum revenue tax, inheritance tax, national insurance contributions and stamp duties.

The Lord Chancellor's Department - The Lord Chancellor's main departmental role is to secure the efficient administration of justice in England and Wales.

The Lord Chancellor's Department Statute Law Database - The Statutory Publications Office (SPO), an office within the Lord Chancellor's Department, is producing a Statute Law Database (SLD) of United Kingdom legislation. The database under development currently contains the text of all Acts that were in force on 1 February 1991, and all Acts and printed Statutory Instruments passed since then.

Ministry of Defence - The purpose of the Ministry of Defence, and of the armed forces, is to defend the United Kingdom, and Overseas Territories, our people and interests and act as a force for good by strengthening international peace and security.

Ordnance Survey - The Ordnance Survey is the internationally recognised market leader in the field of maps and mapping. It offers a wider range of products than any comparable organisation, from traditional walking maps and road maps to the large-scale maps and digital products that now make up the largest part of its business.

Public Record Office - The Public Record Office is the national archive of England, Wales and the United Kingdom. It brings together and preserves the records of central government and the courts of law.
