Before you start

You do NOT need to Register with the Planning Portal to use the online appeals service.

You will also need to check that:

• the type of appeal you want to make can be submitted online
• your computer meets our system requirements, and
• the system will be available when you want to use it.

Please review all the guidance accessible through the links to the left, and the pages published in our Advice Notes section, before you start using the Planning Casework Service.  In particular:

• The Agent and Appellant sections of the form
• appeal attachments
• electronic and postal submissions, including copyright and our privacy statement
• saving the appeal form, and
• sending a copy to the council.  You must send a copy of the completed form and supporting documents to the Council, at the same time as submitting to the Planning Inspectorate within the appeal deadline.
