Whilst the pilot includes a number of key changes for both the appellant and the LPA’s it is still bound by a number of key principles.
Regardless of whether your case is being conducted under the Pilot or other procedures, the same group of Inspectors will be drawn upon to decide it. He or she will follow exactly the same decision making principles under either process.
The pilot does not include any changes that will effect the legality of the appeal decision. No changes to processes and systems have been included that require a change to the laws and rules governing the process.
Although we would encourage appellants to appeal as soon after the decision as possible, you still have 6 months from the date of the planning decision.
Third parties, including neighbours, are able to comment on your appeal, and you still have the opportunity to review and comment on their views.
