Local plans and unitary development plans: guide to procedures
The guidance provided in this booklet reflects the changes to procedures for local plans and UDPs introduced with the Town and Country Planning (DEvelopment Plan) (England) Regulations 1999.
It includes a revised Code of Practice for the period from the deposit of a plan through to its adoption by the local planning authority.
The Code has been the subject of consultation with a wide range of bodies including those representing local government, the development industry, environmental groups and the Council on Tribunals.
