This page covers printing and saving the appeal form.
Printing
Please do not try to print out the online form. The form has been designed to present you with the information we need, based on information you provide as you go along. So, for example, if you tell us that you are an Agent for the Appellant (by answering 'Yes' to that question) other questions about you as the Agent will be displayed. If you say 'No', these additional questions will not be displayed.
If you do decide to print the form, we advise that you change your printer settings to print the form in landscape format. We will not usually accept a printed version of our online form - you will need to submit it online.
Once you submit your form, you will be able to access a formatted copy of it that you can save for your own records. This version will print far more easily.
Saving a partially (or wholly) completed appeal form
You can save a partially completed form at any time.
If you have attached any documents to the form, they will NOT be saved as part of the process.
To save a partially completed form, scroll to the bottom of the form and click on the 'Save partially completed form' button. After a warning about the attachments, the screen will change to display the following:

From there, use the facilities of your Browser to save. eg For Internet Explorer users, select 'File', then 'Save as'. You then need to decide where to save the file - on a floppy disk, or your PCs hard drive, or network etc. The file name and file type will have been set automatically.
Returning to a saved appeal form
When you want to start work again on a saved appeal form, you just need to open the file (eg from within Windows Explorer). You will see the following screen:

Click on the 'Resume' button. The appeal form will be displayed, and you will then need to add any attachments back in.
Saving a submitted appeal form
When a form is submitted, it is checked to ensure that all necessary information has been provided etc. If everything is OK, a box will be displayed which sets telling you that we are Registered under the Data Protection Act and what will happen to the appeal next.
After you click on 'OK', the form and attachments will be transmitted to the Planning Inspectorate. While this is happening, a screen will be displayed telling you that your appeal form is being processed.
Once we have received all the information, you will get a receipt on-screen to tell you. There will also be a link allowing you to access a formatted PDF version of the appeal form. This can be saved, printed and a copy sent to the local authority.
