18. Ensure your proposals map is comprehensive and easy to use

Ideally maps should be provided on a Mastermap or Landline dataset where 'zooming in' allows more information (e.g. individual street names, house numbers and building names) to be identified.

If the map is a scanned image it will depend on the map size and the resolution of scan. For best practice, 'zooming in' should allow the user to identify street names, at the very least.

If the scanned image does not allow this, street names can be manually and added to the scanned images, provided enough detail is added to the map.

Alternately, you could load your map through the Planning Portal, where all of these requirements will be met.
