When the planning department receives an electronic planning application via the Portal, the submission is regularly below acceptable standard plans i.e. no scale, no annotation, not full set of sections, elevations etc.

The submission of below-standard planning applications is an issue for the planning community, of which the e-planning process is a valid subset. It is our understanding that the quality of planning applications increases through electronic submission when requirements are clearly communicated to users.

Below-standard planning applications could be improved by communicating planning agents and members of the public the standard of planning application you expect to receive and the consequences and the delays that poor planning bring.
