Environment Agency

The Environment Agency is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales. It is their job to make sure that the air, land and water are looked after, allowing tomorrow's generations to inherit a cleaner, healthier world.

The Environment Agency is responsible for a huge number of environmental services, but also work closely with local authorities, and other government agencies to make sure the environment is well looked after.

The Environment Agency is currently undertaking a national feasibility study, which will examine the technology and business processes to deliver efficient e-consultation. As part of this study they are currently surveying their area teams to identify which LPAs are sending consultations electronically. This information should be complete by the end of 2006.
