Socitm Consulting is a management consultancy focused on providing business transformation for the public and independent sectors. Formed in 1997, we are one of the leading providers of e-government and ICT consultancy services to local government in the UK, as well as supporting central government, other public and independent sector bodies and private sector organisations with strategic advice and programme and project management.
Socitm Consulting has carried out more 800 assignments for over 300 public and independent sector organisations. Vision
Socitm Consulting is the consultancy arm of the Society of Information Technology Management, the membership organisation for ICT and other professionals in local government. Our publications and guides to best practice provide the professional framework for ICT managers and practitioners to work to. We advise central government on the local government perspective, and help local authorities to achieve transformation in service delivery, with particular reference to the integration of systems in the back office necessary for delivering seamless services through single points of contact.
We have consultants who are widely regarded as experts in the field of Information and Records Management, and who are highly sought after by councils to advise on the strategic approach they should adopt. Many of our consultants are former chief and senior officers in local government, whose experience and understanding of the issues enable them hit the ground running.
We are entirely independent of any suppliers of systems, software or equipment, Coupled with our professional standing as a Society, this means that we offer objective and independent advice which can be relied upon.

The efficient management of information to deliver improved customer service is arguably the central challenge facing public and independent sector organisations.
