The Issuing of Enforcement Decision Letters

It was previously our practise to send out copies of enforcement decision letters to both LPAs and appellants by recorded delivery.  This has recently been reviewed and, in order to promote electronic working and to save costs, The Planning Inspectorate will now submit copies of enforcement decision letters by email to LPAs who are signed up to work with us electronically, or by ordinary first class post to those who are not.  No hard copy will now be submitted to "signed up" LPAs.  However, we will continue to submit copies by recorded delivery to appellants in order to obtain proof of receipt.
