To assist with meeting the Requirements of Part L (Conservation of fuel and power) there are a number of tools and documents available here:

• Certificates of Approval of Commissioning Procedures.              The Building Regulations 2000, regulation 20C and the Building Approved Inspectors etc) Regulations 2000, regulation 12C, require that the commissioning of fixed building services must be carried out according to a procedure approved by the Secretary of State. The two certificates below set out the procedures which for the time being have been approved:

  Includes SAP 2005, SBEM and the criteria for assessing software interfaces for SBEM
• Accredited Construction Details
  Details provided for steel, timber and masonry construction
• Other Reference Documents
  Includes documents on multi-foiled insulation, low or zero carbon energy sources, domestic and non-domestic heating systems, gas and oil central-heating boilers and condensing boiler installations.
• Monitoring the sustainability of Buildings
  This document is now available on the Communities and Local Government website.  It contains the following two progress reports to parliament on sustainability and measures to improve compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations
