17/91 - water industry investment: planning considerations

This circular gives guidance to local authorities on the planning implications of a water industry investment programme. This programme will enable the water industry to comply with national and European Union law relating to bathing water quality and sewage disposal, and improve the quality of drinking water.

Planning authorities are required to work with the water industry, to ensure schemes are completed on time.
