03/00 Housing Grants, Construction And Regeneration Act 1996: Part 1

DETR 03/2000 (3 April 2000)

This circular gives advice on the amendments to the test of resources for grants under Part 1 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996.

It also contains updated guidance on financial matters and general points about the renovation grant system. The uprating of allowances and premiums applies to any valid owner-occupier or tenant seeking a house renovation grant on or after 3 April 2000. Relocation grants are also affected.

Guidance is given on existing legislation and annexes for insertion into Circular 17/96 are provided on the Housing Renewal Grants (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2000, on prescribed forms and particulars, on tests of resources and on disabled facilities grants.
