• Forestry Commission as non-statutory consultee (published March 1999) - Explains the circumstances in which the Forestry Commission should be consulted over planning proposals.

• Land disposal by local authorities (published December 1998) - Explains the circumstances in which local authorities have a general consent to dispose of land, with reference to the Local Government Act 1972 General Disposal Consents 1998.

• Pre-school education (published March 1996) - Issued in connection with the now-defunct Nursery Voucher Scheme. Paragraphs on common considerations in nursery applications still contain relevant guidance.

• Disposal of surplus government land: the Crichel Down Rules (published October 1992) - Sets out the Rules as amended by Annex to memorandum accompanying Treasury DAO letter 11/96. The Rules are being re-examined in the current (Oct 2001) fundamental review of compulsory purchase.

• Disposal of surplus MOD property (publication date not available) - Gives interim guidelines on the joint working of Ministry of Defence and regional government offices on the disposal of surplus MOD property. The guidelines are currently (Oct 2001) being reviewed in the light of research conducted for DETR and MOD by Fuller Peiser and the University of Reading.

• European Spatial Development Perspective (published May 1999) - The European Spatial Development Perspective provides a non-binding framework for national and regional planning in the 15 EU member states. Habitat Agenda in the UK (published May 1999) - Progress towards the goals of the Habitat Agenda in the UK, as reported to the 17th session of the UN Commission on Human Settlements.

• Destruction of wastes arising from slaughter of cattle (published August 1997) - Letter sent the Chief Planning Officers of all local authorities on dealing with planning applications in connection with the destruction of wastes arising from the slaughter of cattle under the Over Thirty Months scheme.
