Availability

The Planning Portal's target availability is 99.85% of the total hours in each calendar month, excluding periods of scheduled downtime as detailed on our Scheduled Maintenance page.

Although we aim to ensure the Portal is available at all times, there are occasions when it is necessary to carry out scheduled maintenance.

If you are experiencing any disruption to service, please check the Scheduled Maintenance page to ensure the problem is not associated with any scheduled maintenance. 

If the disruption is not due to scheduled maintenance, please  contact the Service Desk.

Other Related Services

The Planning Portal also provides links to the Planning Casework Service (PCS), which is run by the Planning Inspectorate. The normal service hours for the PCS are 5am to 2am each day.
