Changes and Enhancements

The Portal’s Change Management team (CMT) is responsible for managing requests for changes to the Portal. 

The CMT’s objective is to ensure that all changes:-

  • Are appropriate
  • Cost effective
  • Have minimal impact upon the services provided via the Portal
  • Follow standardised methods, procedures and technologies 

 

The following sections detail the types of change and the areas where customers can review the status of any changes.

Suggestions

If you have a suggestion for improvements or changes to the Portal, please email feedback@planningportal.gsi.gov.uk.

Before submitting your request, please check the Changes Under Consideration and Forthcoming Changes pages to ensure a similar request has not already been suggested.

Changes Under Consideration

Whenever a change is requested, it must be reviewed and approved at our quarterly Change Control meeting before being implemented.

You can check the status of suggested change requests in our change request register on the Changes Under Consideration page. 

Forthcoming Changes

To find out about forthcoming changes on the Portal, please visit the Forthcoming Changes page. 

These changes have been approved and are currently in development. However, some changes may require the website to be temporarily unavailable and will be announced in the Shutdowns and Scheduled Maintenance page.
