Foreword

This document updates the previous Business Plan focusing on key activities and targets for 2007/08.
 
It defines the ‘contract’ between the Planning Portal and its key stakeholders, in particular the Communities and Local Government e-Planning Programme.

It is intended to be a useful working document for the Planning Portal team that will be revised and referred to throughout the year.

The Portal continues to adhere to our Mission:

• To play a lead role in modernising the planning system in England and Wales, in order to facilitate sustainable and valued communities.
• To provide an array of frontline services wanted and liked by customers, both public and private, including managing the development and implementation of the Standard National Planning Application Form.

The plan explains, for the benefit of stakeholders, what outcomes the Planning Portal will deliver, by when and with what resources, and how it fits into the Government’s wider agenda for planning and building regulations reform.
