The Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 1998

Introduction

The Building (Local Authority Charges) Regulations 1998 (SI 1998/3129) enable local authorities (LAs) in England and Wales to charge for carrying out their statutory building control functions relating to the Building Regulations. The three main functions relate to processing full plans applications and building notices and carrying out site inspections.
