Householder Appeals

This is the Planning Inspectorate’s main page on Householder Appeals.  On this page you will find all the guidance and information you need to make or take part in a householder appeal.  If you are looking for information on a specific appeal, or wish to make a new appeal online then you should go to our online appeals service.

The Householder Appeals Service is designed for householders who have applied to their council or national park authority for planning permission for small scale developments to existing properties, but is unhappy with the resulting decision, or the lack of a decision (which should normally be made within 8 weeks).
