These model notification letters are designed to be used by LPAs when notifying 3rd parties of appeals.
There is no legal requirement for LPAs to use these model letters. They are intended to be a guide setting out the essential information and best practice. LPAs are free to “top and tail” or add to them as they see fit, but it is important that the information about accessing decisions via the Planning Portal remains.
