Submitting Appeals and Supporting Documents by Post

You can make an appeal by post.

Appeal forms can be obtained from the Planning Inspectorate - contact our Customer Services Team on 0117 372 6372.

Your appeal and all required supporting documents should be sent to:

2 The Square,
Temple Quay,
Bristol,
BS1 6PN

If you have submitted the appeal online, but have supporting documents to follow by post your covering letter MUST quote the appeal reference number.  We also ask that you provide a list of the documents you are submitting to support your appeal.

When submitting your appeal by post, include all essential supporting documents with the appeal form.  The documents we need will be set out on the form and will usually include:

• Grounds of appeal
• Planning Application
• Local Planning Authority (LPA) Decision
• Design and Access Statement (if required)
• Plans and/ or drawings submitted with the original application

If you find any of the documents are missing, please contact your LPA to obtain the documents before submitting your appeal.

Do not send the appeal form without any supporting documents as the appeal maybe returned to you pending receipt of the other documents, unless you have stated that these documents will follow.
