Community Infrastructure Levy: Information for Local Authorities

Community Infrastructure Levy: Templates

These templates should be adapted as required and used in connection with administration of the collection of the Community Infrastructure Levy.

A liability notice must be sent to all those parties who have assumed liability to pay the levy, following receipt of an assumption of liability form. You can adapt and use ‘Template 1: Liability Notice’ for this purpose.

A demand notice must be issued on commencement of development to all those parties who have assumed liability. You can adapt and use ‘Template 2: Demand Notice’ for this purpose.

A default of liability notice must be sent to all persons known as having a material interest in the land when you have been unable to recover the outstanding CIL charge in connection with the chargeable development. You can adapt and use ‘Template 3: Default of Liability’ for this purpose.
