Description

This guidance, published by the Planning Inspectorate, sets out the procedures for appeals made to the Secretary of State against decisions issued by councils in respect of applications for consent to cut down or carry out work on a tree protected by a tree preservation order.

The Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) also provides guidance on Tree Preservation Orders and trees in conservation areas1.
