This practice guide supports the implementation of the Planning Policy Statement: Planning and Climate Change, the (“Climate Change PPS”) which was published on 17 December 2007 as a supplement to Planning Policy Statement 1 ("PPS1").
The Climate Change PPS sets out how regional and local planning should contribute to reducing emissions and stabilising climate change and take into account the unavoidable consequences.
