Planning in Wales - The Planning Division

As part of the 'Department for Environment, Sustainability and Housing', Planning Division's principal role is to oversee the land use planning system in Wales and to exercise the Welsh Assembly Government’s functions over a broad range of activities within the development planning and development control systems.

It works closely with other Assembly Government Divisions, local planning authorities, other stakeholders involved in the planning system in Wales, and is responsible for taking forward improvements through the Planning: delivering for Wales Programme.
