Planning Casework Service

The Planning Casework Service is developed and managed by the Planning Inspectorate - the government agency that runs the appeals process in England and Wales.

The Planning Casework Service currently covers the following types of appeals:

  • Conservation Area Consent
  • Conservation Area Enforcement
  • Crown Land Enforcement
  • Enforcement
  • Lawful Development Certificate
  • Listed Building Consent
  • Listed Building Enforcement
  • Planning

 

Our online service lets users:

 

Details of all the above appeals that we receive, whether submitted on paper or online, will be published on the Planning Portal and will be accessible through our Search facility.  These details include the name of the person or organisation making the appeal, what sort of appeal it is and how far through the appeals process the case has reached.  We also publish a copy of the decision on the appeal in due course.

Evidence submitted in relation to individual appeals can be viewed at the relevant council offices, and may also be made available through their website.
